It's very common for cat moms to be near their babies in the wild, which is why we're sure so many people asked her to go back and check. They often leave their kids somewhere while going off to hunt, hiding them to be safe from predators. Especially when you have a litter of kittens to take care of in harsh conditions, the moms struggle almost more than their kids. Purrhaps she couldn't save Elsa, and went to try and save the rest. We hope she's found before anything bad happens.

It's posts like these that make us tear up a little bit, for a meowltitude of reasons. It hurts our hearts to know that there are so many cats who need our help out there, and it lifts us up to know that there are so many people willing to help. If you see a stray cat outside, especially now that there are sub-zero temperatures almost every night, please bring them inside, even if it's just until the snow passes.

"I rescued Dusty here about 2 months ago. It was so cold outside he was shivering. He's fine now, but is such a troublemaker. Lol"
